Held for the fourth time, the ZalaZONE Researchers' Night attracted considerable interest, with over 300 attendees participating in various scientific and technological presentations, interactive programs, and lectures. The event spanned 23 different venues, featuring presentations on the technologies and innovations of the future.
The Junior Academy at ZalaZONE program proved particularly popular, guiding interested students toward technical professions and the automotive industry. Visitors were introduced to study opportunities at Széchenyi István University and the ongoing R&D projects at ZalaZONE. One of the program’s highlights was a motivational talk by two-time Hungarian racing champion Dániel Nagy, who shared secrets of Formula 1 with the audience. To conclude the event, attendees enjoyed a captivating talk on the thrills of the Budapest-Bamako Rally.
The IPG CarMaker Simulator program also drew significant attention, as visitors could test their driving skills on a virtual racetrack in a simulated environment. Additionally, the “Investigate It” and “Sustainability” escape rooms were a big hit.
Robotics and artificial intelligence were also in the spotlight, allowing visitors to compete in chess matches against an AI and explore the advanced technology of the GO1 robot dog. Demonstrations of self-driving cars and drone technology further illustrated the future of the automotive industry.
Thanks to favorable weather, visitors enjoyed the astronomy program, where they observed the Sun and Saturn.
